Company Overview
NuCrypt, LLC is an outgrowth of research initially performed at the Center for Photonic Communication and Computing at Northwestern University. This research focused on using the inherent quantum properties of light to solve practical problems, particularly in the field of secure communications (cryptography).
NuCrypt provides its AlphaEta™ technology for ultrahigh security over optical communication networks. We use the inherent noise in light to enhance the best state-of-the-art encryption technology while remaining compatible with conventional optical infrastructure.
Founded in 2003, NuCrypt employs a team of highly skilled scientists and engineers who have developed a system that reliably provides ultrahigh security for data transmission over long distances. The team includes researchers who demonstrated the first such systems at Northwestern University.
NuCrypt is using its expertise and previous discoveries in quantum optics, nonlinear optics, communications, and high speed electronics to investigate other applications as well, such as entangled photon sources and photonic-assisted analog-to-digital converters. Such advanced technologies are useful for instrumentation, communications, and cryptography.
