Prem Kumar, Ph.D.

Dr. Kumar, CEO, is the AT&T Professor of Information Technology in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Director of the Center for Photonic Communication and Computing at Northwestern University. Professor Kumar co-founded NuCrypt following successful demonstration of the AlphaEta™ technology at the Center. He is an internationally recognized researcher and is a fellow of several organizations including the Optical Society of America, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the Institute of Physics, and the American Physical Society. Dr. Kumar is also the recipient of the 2004 International Quantum Communications Award.

Gregory Kanter, Ph.D.

Dr. Kanter, VP of Engineering, has conducted research or led product development in the areas of optical communication systems, optical regeneration, quantum optics, and the use of noise in secure communications. He holds a PhD in electrical engineering, a master’s degree in engineering management, and has seven patents pending or granted.
